Global Gardens is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering students and communities through hands on-science education. We believe helping students create a garden is a way to not only assist them in learning about science, health and the environment but also challenge them to become caring, forward thinking and confident individuals. Global Gardens is committed to planting seeds of change!
What is Global Gardens?
Global Gardens is an after school program for kids that love to garden. In Global Gardens each kid has their own plot to grow whatever they want. Since Global Gardens is in Tulsa, Oklahoma we have to grow things that will grow in Oklahoma. In Global Gardens everybody is in charge but the one who came up with the idea of Global Gardens is Mrs. Oakley. Global Gardens is in the back of Eugene Field Elementary School. In Global Gardens not only the teacher does the gardens but the kids do. I like Global Gardens because it is a fun after school program and not only do we grow gardens but we learn about nature. And I also love Global Gardens because we all get along together it is like a little community and in the community everyone gets along and everyone is nice to each other and everyone is peaceful.
